Internet marketing can be overwhelming, especially when you are new and only beginning to learn about the field. As you go through forums and articles, you'll see all types of lists about what it takes to be the next big thing. The items on these lists probably all seem inconsistent. One list will say that becoming an IM success is all about exercising patience. Another will say that you should be extremely smart about business if you want to be the next big thing. Still, another will state that creativity is what will help you succeed. And don't forget about all of the pages telling you that the software package they offer is what will help you become the next big thing.
The truth is that all of these things are essential to your success (well, perhaps not all of those software systems, but the other stuff). Business smarts, creativity and patience are all extremely important to your success in IM. However, none of those things are going to matter if you cannot clearly communicate all of them to the people you want to purchase from you.
There is more to good communication than putting up a convincing sales page. A skilled copywriter can take care of that aspect of your project. Good communication is more than having a gorgeous web site with an extensive FAQ page. An experienced web designer and writer can do those things for you. Good communication requires being good with interpersonal communication and in direct copy also. So what are you supposed to do to be a good communicator?
1. Answer each and every email you get within 24 hours of it hitting your inbox. We aren't jesting with you. There is no need for you to write a a long reply for each email. You can just inform the person who emailed you that you've read his email and will be getting back to him shortly. Try to include a snippet that references something the sender has written. This tells the person that you genuinely read every email and are not an autoresponder.
2. Avoid letting the phone ring and ring. Don't screen telephone calls. Whenever your telephone starts to ring, answer it by the third ring. Do this even if you really have no wish to talk to the person attached to the caller ID flashing on your screen. The good news is that there is, nonetheless, an exemption to this rule. You don't have to answer your phone around the clock. Instead of this, schedule clear "business" hours that you will be available during for phone calls. Release these hours on your website and in your voice mail message too. And, finally, see to it that you call back.
3. Check with people to make sure that your messages and emails have really been received. This shows them that you care about your correspondence with them. You'll endear yourself more with the people you work with and who buy your products if you ask them if they have any questions and follow up to make certain that they understood the points you were trying to make.Source: Limu scam
