When reading the vision of IAMSPORT at http://www.iamsport.com/vision/ it becomes clear that the only activity that has ever had the power and conviction to unite people around a single cause has been sport. The Olympics were born around this philosophy and Baron Pierre De Coubertin, founder of the modern Olympic Games said that “Sport is part of every man and woman’s heritage and its absence can never be compensated for”.

As an intricate part of the global IAMSPORT community, the One World • Through Sport movement will establish grants to provide athletic scholar ship opportunities, educational opportunities for young athletes trying to pursue a means of purposeful training and learning, travel and financial aid for athletes and any other grants deemed consistent with the vision of IAMSPORT.

One World • Through Sport has created a keepsake fund raiser in the form of a royal blue (universal color for peace and unity) wrist band. Go to the IAMSPORT Store to purchase one. 100% of the proceeds go to expanding the One World • Through Sport mission.

In the weeks and months to come expect to see many videos on this page where athletes individually and as teams describe in their own way what it means to them to unite the world through their sport.

One World • Through Sport is not a slogan, it’s not a promotion. It’s a movement and a mission. Join the IAMSPORT community and help us make a change.
